Haven't heard anything on the Crenca injury at all, but I've heard Rusin may be back sooner. Villani had tweeted earlier that he is done for the regular season, but he told a source of mine on Saturday against Canisius that he had gotten a cortisone injection in his turf toe and was thinking he'd play vs Hartford. If he is ready for the Hartford game, I'd rather him play then, instead of getting a week off and play for the first time during the quarterfinals. There is no margin for error in the tournament and throwing him out if he can't go is a bad idea. If he needs to test it out for the first time, I'd rather it be in a meaningless regular season tilt.

I've heard this too from my sources. Although him thinking he is ready for Hartford may be different from Becker and Grant thinking he is ready

Hopefully Rusin and the coaches don't rush his return. I think they did that at the SBU game and it set him back another couple of weeks. Play it smart.

True...which is exactly why if he's ready I'd rather him play vs Hartford and not get an additional weeks rest. If he comes out sluggish or needs to shake off some rust I'd rather that be in a meaningless regular season game instead of a game that if he comes out flat in could potentially cost us. When the Cats play well they are capable of beating anyone, but they also play a style that if they aren't playing well can lose to anyone (see Bing game 2011-2012).

Having said that...I'd be ok with shutting Rusin down the rest of the year if need be and having BK get more minutes at the 2 for the remainder of the year. He has been getting a little bit of time there already. In the AE, BK can get away with playing their provided the right match up on defense (this would not work with the quick guards of BU). BK has been way more consistent a shooter/player this year than Rusin when he was healthy. Next year BK can move back to position, but I've found the combo of Blue and BK to be much more effective.

Totally agree, I love BKs game and wouldn't mind seeing him get more minutes. He's our most athletic player and I don't think we've seen nearly all that he is capable of.

Is Davine just not ready to play yet? With Rusin out Elbaum has been playing a lot more, but if another shooter goes down we've got real problems.
